Cost of First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training™ is $250 per person.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Cost of First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training will increase to $299.00 per person effective for trainings commencing September 1, 2021.
Payment for the course can be made by either PayPal or Credit Card using the PayPal platform (Sign up for PayPal is not required when ‘Pay using Credit Card’ is selected on the PayPal platform). Following completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation email. If you have any questions about payment, please email [email protected]. The First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training often incurs a wait list for each training, payment is required to guarantee your spot!
If you are interested in booking a First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training for your organization, group or community, please complete the Group Training Request Form. Please note: In-person two-day training is offered to a minimum of 17 and maximum of 21 participants.
Five Week Online Live Interactive Webinar is offered to groups of 12.
The registration deadline for both the Two Day In-Person and Five Week Online Live Interactive Webinar First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training is two weeks prior to the first workshop date. Spaces are limited and fill quickly.
We use the Zoom platform for the Five Week Online First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training Live Interactive Webinar.
Information on System requirements will be sent to each participant prior to them attending the Live Interactive Webinar.
Category A Credits for Social Workers
Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services #1645 is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 11/29/2018-09/09/2021. Social workers completing this course receive 13 continuing education credits.
Please note, effective Sept 10, 2021 continuing education credits will no longer be offered to participants of the First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training. Participants registered for workshops commencing Sept 1, 2021 or later are not eligible to receive continuing education credits. AASAS will maintain participant records for seven years.
