Join the AASAS Board!

AASAS strives to have a Board of Directors inclusive of diverse perspectives and experiences from all across the province and is currently seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join.

If you have experience in government relations, non-profit management and governance, rural and remote perspectives, marking and communications or legal counsel (see the full posting for other relevant experience), and want to serve on the Board, there may be a role for you.

Please apply as soon as possible and no later than May 31, 2024. Applications will be considered until suitable candidates have been found

AASAS is also looking for a Board Treasurer.

Not only do Board members play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership, clear direction, and ensuring ethical and prudent governance, the Treasurer will offer guidance to the Co-CEOs in ensuring good fiscal planning, decision-making and oversight at a governance level.

The ideal start date is May 15th, so don’t delay!

Saffron Centre in Sherwood Park is hiring a compassionate and skilled trauma-informed therapist to join their counselling team part-time. 

The staff therapist leading the “Breaking the Cycle” project is responsible for developing and delivering a therapeutic counselling program for families with children under twelve years of age who are exhibiting concerning sexualized behaviour. Counselling program will be delivered in both individual and group formats. Professional clinical supervision will be provided throughout the project and professional development will be provided during the development and delivery of this program.

Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton

SACE is hiring two Client Care Advocates – Transition Support. This position position provides telephone and face-to-face client intakes, information and referrals, client support, and crisis intervention to survivors of sexual assault. Additionally, this position provides as-needed readiness assessments for individuals seeking counselling, resourcing and referrals to support safety and stability when entering counselling, and support around transition to other care services at the time of termination of counselling.
