Child & Youth Counsellor 

The ideal candidate will have experience in counselling children and youth (individual, family, group) and be familiar with the issue of sexual violence and with anti-oppressive approaches to violence prevention and client support.

Adult Counsellors.

Adult Counsellor responsibilities include:

Provision of crisis intervention in the form of support and information calls, emergency appointments, and scheduled appointments.
Provision of crisis support for:

  • Survivors of sexual assault (18 years and older);
  • Adult survivors of child sexual abuse;
  • Non-offending family members of these survivors.

Client Care and Clinical Support

Individuals with experience in crisis intervention with clients, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services fields, and knowledge and understanding of the assessment and treatment issues surrounding the effects of sexual violence would be a great fit for this full-time position.

Dragonfly Counselling & Support Centre is looking for a Clinical Manager to join their dedicated team that is committed to ending the cycle of sexual abuse & assault by providing specialized intervention, counselling and preventative education to individuals, families and communities in North Region of Alberta.

As a senior leader within the Agency this position is responsible for all clinical service programs including: specialized sexual violence /trauma counselling and client service, including the daily supervision of all counselling team members (including student, contract and casual employees) and of the administration tasks associated with the department oversight.
